Packed house celebrates launch of South LA’s first home sharing club

Current and prospective hosts and their guests filled up popular Dulan’s Soul Food restaurant on Crenshaw to ring in the launch of the South LA Chapter of the rapidly-growing LA home sharing club.

And what a launch it was.

It was a lively affair, full of hosts networking, exchanging home sharing tips and tricks, discussing upcoming short-term rental legislation, catching up with old friends, and meeting new ones.

Dulan’s — a neighborhood staple and go-to spot for many hosts — provided a classic soul food spread of barbecue ribs, smothered chicken, mac & cheese, collard greens, cornbread and more.

Owner Greg Dulan was enthusiastic to be a part of the festivities, and energized by Airbnb’s mission to empower the community of South LA to use home sharing as a means to earn extra income, and to support local businesses.

“I am really supportive of Airbnb’s efforts in South LA — I wish I had known about home sharing years ago!”
